Our Treatment Philosophy

Recovery begins with the acceptance and understanding of addiction as a disease. The level and duration of care a patient receives is based on their specific needs. Our goal is to help people develop a desire for a healthier lifestyle free from drug abuse and self-destructive behaviors.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Prescription opioid abuse is complex. Expanding access to MATs is a crucial component of the effort to help patients recover. Increasing patients’ retention in treatment may improve their social functioning and reduce the risks of disease transmission and criminal activity.

MAT combines three FDA-approved medications, counseling, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Counseling and therapy include individual or group counseling, family therapy, and referrals to community-based aftercare services. We strive to ensure patient and community safety through safe medication disbursement and federally regulated protocol.

Counseling and cognitive behavioral therapy include individual or group counseling, family therapy, and referrals to community-based wrap-around services.

Access to Treatment

Admission into the program is based on a person’s presented symptoms, apparent need for treatment, and the availability of financial resources. Most importantly, the patient must be motivated to seek recovery and compliant to the treatment process.

Continuum of Care

If needed, individuals who receive treatment at New Vista Outpatient Recovery Center can access more intensive treatment from Valle Vista Health System such as Inpatient Detox, Intensive Outpatient, and Partial Hospitalization.
